Dental Financial Transaction Specialist

Job Description

This role involves accurately and efficiently posting financial transactions and adjustments to patient accounts based on payment documentation. The ideal candidate will ensure the integrity of financial data and support revenue cycle operations.

  • Transaction Processing: Accurately post insurance payments, electronic remittance advices, and patient payments into dental billing software.
  • Deposit Reconciliation: Reconcile deposits with bank statements and daily payment reports to ensure all transactions are accounted for.
  • Payment Review: Review Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and ERAs to identify discrepancies or trends in denials or payment issues.
  • Discrepancy Resolution: Flag and escalate discrepancies or trends to the appropriate department for timely resolution.
  • Adjustment Posting: Post adjustments according to payer contracts and internal policies.
  • Patient Account Management: Monitor and maintain the accuracy of patient accounts and balances.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with appeals or collections teams for timely resolution of denied or unpaid claims.
  • Compliance: Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Productivity: Meet daily and monthly productivity and accuracy goals.
  • Data Collection: Collect and download EFTs and ERAs from insurance portals and clearinghouses.
Requirements

We're looking for a skilled professional with:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in transaction processing.
  • Experience with dental management software.
  • Excellent attention to detail and numeracy skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Full English proficiency.
  • Microsoft Office skills and proficiency with G-suite tools.
