Lead Video Production Manager

This role requires strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to manage complex projects across multiple time zones.

The Lead Video Production Manager will oversee the end-to-end execution of video production projects ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and at the highest creative standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the full video production lifecycle from intake and planning to filming and post-production delivery.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, creative teams, and vendors to align objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Oversee pre-production activities, scheduling, resource planning, and risk management.
  • Monitor production schedules to ensure alignment with budget, quality, and creative vision.
  • Manage vendor relationships globally, including onboarding, contracting, and performance tracking.
  • Ensure all outputs comply with brand and partner institution guidelines.
  • Track and report production budgets in collaboration with Finance.
  • Identify bottlenecks, implement best practices, and develop scalable production processes.
  • Represent production in cross-functional meetings, providing clarity and structure.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols for all physical shoots.
  • Travel domestically and internationally for on-location shoots when required.
  • Manage IP permissions and third-party content licensing.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 4–6 years of experience in video production management or equivalent roles.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple simultaneous productions across global teams.
  • Strong leadership, organization, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, comfortable working across cultures.
  • Expertise in budgeting, scheduling, and vendor management.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours to ensure global team overlap.
