Video Content Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Video Content Specialist to ensure all video content meets our editorial, technical, and creative standards.
Job Summary:
- Content Review & Approval: Ensure videos align with our template, style, and mandated requirements.
- Cross-checking Scripts: Verify consistency in scripts, grammar, pronunciation, and language usage across visuals and audio.
Technical Quality Assessment:
- Inspect videos for resolution, color grading, transitions, audio levels, and overall synchronization.
- Flag and guide corrections for issues like poor framing, sound inconsistencies, or graphical errors.
Compliance & Ethical Standards:
- Ensure videos meet legal, ethical, and regulatory guidelines, including copyright and fair use laws.
- Verify that sensitive topics are handled with appropriate editorial care.
Collaboration & Feedback:
- Work closely with video producers and editors to provide constructive feedback.
- Develop and maintain quality checklists and guidelines for consistent reviews.
Requirements:
- Education & Experience: Preferably a Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Media Production, or a related field. Minimum 2+ years of experience in video editing, production, or quality assurance within a media organization.
- Skills: In-depth understanding of journalistic principles, proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro), quality assurance tools, analytical and reporting skills, and knowledge of broadcasting and digital video requirements.
