Cybersecurity Vulnerability Management Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Vulnerability Management professional to collaborate with development teams, business teams, and cross-functional technology. As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you should have experience in web application vulnerabilities, vulnerability scanning tools, and working with teams to remediate vulnerabilities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Remediation of Web Application Vulnerabilities: Identify and fix security flaws in web applications to prevent attacks.
  • Onboarding New Web Applications: Integrate new web applications into our web-app vuln scan platform, Rapid7 InsightAppSec (IAS).
  • Maintaining Vulnerability Management Tools: Daily upkeep of Vulnerability Management tools and infrastructures.
  • Scanning and Remediation: Scan web applications and servers for vulnerabilities and work with developers to remediate findings.
  • Security Reviews: Conduct meetings and security reviews with business personnel to articulate vulnerabilities and their risk to the organization.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Provide monthly metrics of the Vulnerability Management Program and the success of reducing risk.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent: A degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 2+ years in web application vulnerability discovery, remediation, and scanning using web application vulnerability scanning tools.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and communication skills, knowledge of IT security policies, application/server/middleware security, and cloud vulnerability management.

  • Rapid7 InsightAppSec Experience: Experience with Rapid7 InsightAppSec (IAS) or equivalent.
