Director of Finance and Accounting Job

The Director of Finance and Accounting will lead our accounting and finance team in India, overseeing financial operations, managing cash flow, and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills and strong communication abilities. The ideal candidate should have experience in managing accounting and general operations for staffing and consulting companies in India.

  • Hands-on experience in managing accounting and general operations of staffing and/or consulting companies in India.
  • 15+ years of experience in Accounting, Taxation, Corporate Finance, Payroll, GST, TDS, PF, ESI, Benefits, and Multi-Currency Accounting.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Tally ERP.
  • Experience in handling 1000+ employee payroll.
  • Experience with a staffing company or IT services company is required.

A successful Director of Finance and Accounting will possess excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. They will be able to communicate effectively with clients, vendors, employees, and consultants, and demonstrate strong leadership abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage high-level subsidiary accounting, oversight, inter-company transactions, and FEMA/RBI compliance.
  • Communicate and resolve queries or payment follow-ups with Clients, Vendors, Employees, and Consultants.
  • Build process documents and ensure process compliance across the teams.
  • Present and communicate effectively with Client's operational and financial departments.
  • Understand and comply with various central and state compliances for accounting and payroll.

Requirements:

  • 15+ years of experience with a degree in Commerce/Accounting/Finance from a reputed University.
  • Excellent MS Office, MS Excel (advanced Pivot and Macros), MS Power BI, MS Sharepoint skills, and ability to utilize technology to automate and bring operational efficiencies.
  • Capable of demonstrating leadership-based management in alignment with our corporate philosophy.
  • A qualified Chartered Accountant is highly desirable.
