Cloud Infrastructure Engineer Role Overview

This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure using modern infrastructure-as-code practices. The ideal candidate will leverage their expertise in TypeScript and the Node.js environment to create reusable constructs for scalable and secure AWS resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deploying and managing AWS infrastructure components such as Lambda, EC2, S3, IAM, and VPC.
  • Managing deployment lifecycles with CDK CLI commands.
  • Writing unit tests using Jest to ensure code quality.
  • Collaborating closely with DevOps and cloud teams to debug infrastructure issues and optimize automation workflows.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with AWS Cloud Development Kit (AWS CDK) using TypeScript.
  • Strong knowledge of TypeScript features, including interfaces, types, classes, and generics.
  • Experience with the Node.js runtime environment and npm package management.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS core infrastructure services, including Lambda, EC2, S3, IAM, and VPC.
  • Familiarity with CDK CLI commands and writing unit tests with Jest.
  • Skills in debugging and troubleshooting AWS infrastructure deployments and runtime issues.
