Principal Engineer

We are seeking an accomplished backend developer to drive the design and architecture of our systems. As a key member of our engineering organization, you will be responsible for developing scalable and resilient systems using Java (Spring Boot) and event-driven architectures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop system design and platform architecture decisions
  • Build scalable, resilient systems using Java (Spring Boot) and event-driven architectures
  • Solve real-time, high-throughput challenges in search, pricing, and booking workflows

In addition to your technical expertise, you will also be responsible for leading multiple high-impact projects simultaneously, mentoring teams, and owning end-to-end delivery of critical initiatives from design to deployment.

Tech Stack:
  • Backend: Java (Spring Boot), Microservices, AWS ECS, ScyllaDB, MongoDB, Kafka, Redis
  • Platform: AWS, Docker, CI/CD, GitHub Actions
  • Data & AI (Good to have): Databricks, Spark, Claude, LangGraph, RAG pipelines
  • Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch

We are looking for a talented engineer with a strong background in backend development, specifically with Java (Spring Boot) and experience with distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and NoSQL databases.

Requirements:
  • 8-12 years backend development experience
  • Deep Java expertise (Spring Boot, Hibernate)
  • Hands-on developer who can code, architect, and lead by example
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and timelines
  • Strong collaboration skills with stakeholders - Product teams, Clients, and Cross-functional tech teams
  • Distributed systems experience with event-driven architectures
  • NoSQL databases (ScyllaDB, MongoDB)
  • Performance optimization and latency tuning skills
  • Ownership mindset with proven track record of delivering mission-critical projects

Bonus Points:

  • LLM pipelines, RAG, or agentic AI experience
  • Databricks, Spark, or large-scale data processing
  • Travel-tech or B2B marketplace background
  • Full-stack experience with React
