Credit Control Specialist

About this role:

Leading the credit control function, you will ensure timely collection of outstanding receivables and minimize bad debts. A key aspect of the job involves setting credit policies and evaluating risks to maintain a healthy cash flow.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Credit Management: Develop policies, procedures, and credit limits to manage customer creditworthiness through financial analysis, risk assessments, and evaluations.
  2. Receivables Management: Monitor accounts receivable and reconcile customer accounts to ensure accurate and timely allocation of receipts.
  3. Collections: Manage collections teams and maintain regular contact with customers to secure payments, resolve disputes, and escalate problematic cases.
  4. Reporting & Analysis: Prepare reports on receivables, aging, DSO, bad debt provisions, and collection efficiency, highlighting high-risk accounts and overdue balances.
  5. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with sales, legal, and customer service teams to resolve credit issues and support relationships.
  6. Team Leadership: Train, motivate, and manage the credit control team, setting performance KPIs and reviewing performance regularly.

Requirements:

  • 4-7 years' experience in credit control or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
