The ideal candidate for this position will succeed in this role if they have both knowledge and technical depth about plant & machinery operations. This is essential as they will be a central person in the decision making process, working with multiple individuals across different teams when necessary.

Key Responsibilities
  • Erect, dismantle, maintain, and operate Luffing Jib tower cranes, passenger hoists, placer booms, and other specialized equipment.
  • Develop methodology for equipment erection, operation, and preparation of checklists.
  • Control spare parts inventory and optimize costs by sourcing plant & machinery operators, mechanics, and other personnel.
  • Generate local management information systems (MIS) to Mechanical Heads at Headquarters/Project In-charges.
  • Maintain site records of equipment, including logbooks, preventive maintenance records, and upkeep of equipment at zonal sites.
  • Prepare budget estimates for spares and running expenses for each machine and monitor them on a monthly basis.
  • Train personnel, workers, and operators on safe use of equipment, repair and servicing procedures, and record-keeping requirements.
  • Optimize use of P&M corresponding to their rated productivity output.
  • Ensure minimum breakdown of equipment and maximum availability of equipment at sites.
  • Develop service schedules for each month based on hours/KMs running and implement those strictly to achieve minimum break-down of equipment's, machinery, and vehicles.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
