Job Description

As a seasoned US Tax Manager, you will lead a team of professionals and be responsible for driving accurate, compliant tax reporting for annuity products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team of 15-20 associates to drive business growth and excellence in tax reporting.
  • Oversee the tax reporting process for annuity transactions, ensuring seamless execution and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement processes to ensure IRS compliance, including timely 1099-R filings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage the tax treatment of death benefits and beneficiary payouts.
  • Drive process improvements, identify areas of inefficiency, and implement corrective actions to support audit readiness.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in tax reporting or financial operations, preferably in the insurance or annuity industry.
  • Strong knowledge of US tax regulations and laws.
  • Proven leadership skills, with a track record of mentoring and developing high-performing teams in a regulated environment.
  • Proficiency in Excel and tax systems, as well as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.
