Financial Leadership Role

The Financial Manager plays a key role in overseeing the day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger.

Key responsibilities include monitoring cash flow, investments, and cash forecasting, as well as managing budgeting processes and supporting cross-functional departmental budget planning.

Compliance Management

The Financial Manager ensures compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and local tax regulations. This includes timely and accurate filing of all GST returns, handling GST audits, assessments, and departmental notices, and ensuring timely and accurate filing of income tax returns.

Additional responsibilities include managing statutory and tax audits, assessments, and responding within the allotted time frame. The Financial Manager must also have strong knowledge of transfer pricing compliance and documentation.

Strategic Analysis

The Financial Manager provides financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making. They collaborate with senior management on financial planning and risk management, evaluating financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.

Team Supervision

The Financial Manager supervises and mentors accounting staff, ensuring continuous improvement in financial processes and systems. They train staff on financial systems and compliance requirements.

Qualifications for this role include a Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, along with 10-15 years of experience in financial management and accounting.

Required skills include analytical thinking, strong leadership and communication skills, problem-solving and decision-making abilities, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
