Job Title: Cloud Security Engineer

About the Role

This is a challenging opportunity for an experienced Cloud Security Engineer to lead the security strategy across our cloud platforms.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of cloud security risks and threats, ensuring effective mitigation and remediation strategies.
  • Configure public cloud native security tooling and capabilities, with a focus on Google Cloud organizational policies/constraints, VPC SC, IAM policies, and GCP APIs.
  • Implement Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) using 3rd party tools like Wiz, Prisma, Check Point CloudGuard, etc.
  • Design and configure event-driven serverless-based security controls in Azure, AWS Lambda, and Google Cloud Functions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure DevOps processes and workflows.
  • Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and create technical architecture documentation.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging threats and technologies, providing expert guidance to improve overall security posture.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in software and/or cloud platform engineering, particularly focused on GCP environment.
  • Deep understanding of shared responsibility model and security risks inherent in hosting cloud-based applications and data.
  • Experience developing across the security assurance lifecycle, including prevent, detect, respond, and remediate controls.
  • Strong scripting skills in languages like PowerShell, Python, Bash, or Go.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
