Job Description:

The Telecommunications Network Specialist will be part of the IT Infrastructure team responsible for designing, deploying, and supporting systems, services, and requirements across PhonePe's corporate locations.

Key Responsibilities:

• This is a hands-on technical role that requires independence and ownership of network infrastructure support.

• Ensure Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met by troubleshooting complex issues and suggesting design modifications as needed.

• Conduct performance analysis, proactive troubleshooting, and capacity planning for network platforms.

• Collaborate with experienced team members to monitor and maintain the overall environment.

• Perform change controls, update process documentation, and maintain team portals.

• Participate in root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and capacity planning.

• Communicate with peers and managers regarding system issues and participate in on-call rotations.

Experience & Qualifications:

• 2-4 years of experience in designing, deploying, and managing IPv4/IPv6 networks, including routers, switches, firewalls, and WiFi solutions.

• Strong knowledge of Juniper, Aruba, FortiGate, or Cisco platforms.

• Solid understanding of IP/MPLS and Ethernet technologies.

• Experience with IP services, such as IPv4, IPv6, VPNs, multicast, QoS, SNMP, VoIP, SIP, and other related technologies.

• Expertise in wireless technologies, including topology designs, device troubleshooting, security architecture, and RF site surveys.

• Proven experience in network management and a solid understanding of network analysis tools like Nagios and Zabbix.

• Hands-on experience with protocol analyzer tools and debugging tools.

• Familiarity with BGP, OSPF configuration, and experience with firewalls, VPNs, remote implementations, and problem resolution.

• Knowledge of Linux platforms and ability to engage with vendors.

• Excellent communication skills and familiarity with backup and recovery processes.
