Job Summary

We are seeking a Production Planner - Raw Materials and Production Planning to join our team at Huntsman. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and distributing weekly production plans to the plant team, creating production orders in SAP, and driving a smooth production plan execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and distribute the weekly production plan to the plant team.
  • Create production orders in SAP.
  • Drive and execute a smooth production plan, minimizing last-minute changes.
  • Collaborate with logistics, production, quality control, and export-import teams to ensure seamless execution of the production plan.
  • Monitor vital parameters daily by comparing the plan versus actual performance.
  • Coordinate with the production team to address any discrepancies and prepare regular reports.
  • Develop a six-month rolling capacity load plan for blenders, identifying and highlighting any constraints.
  • Achieve accurate production planning to manage inventory effectively and minimize slow-moving inventory through rework.
  • Forecast raw material requirements based on production schedules and ensure timely procurement.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels to prevent shortages and overstock situations.
  • Work closely with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and negotiate better terms and prices.
  • Raise PR considering lead time of RM, and get it converted in PO.
  • Followup with Vendor for timely delivery of RM/Packing material.
  • Ensure adherence to key performance indicators, including production plan adherence, dispatch adherence, stock out and production plan accuracy.
  • Raise NPIs for new SKUs and warehouse extensions, ensuring timely creation and controlling the creation of redundant codes.
  • Maintain material master data for products, including routings and production versions.
  • Ensure raw materials meet quality standards and specifications by coordinating with quality control teams for inspection and approval of incoming materials.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams for the qualification and development of alternate raw materials.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in production and raw material planning and management.

Requirements

  • Graduate degree.
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience with a reputed company.
  • SAP ERP experience in MRP planning / SAP PP Module.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable in English – Written and Verbal both.
  • Good Analytical skill.
  • Command over MS office packages – Advance Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI.
