Technical Superintendent Job

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Technical Superintendent to oversee day-to-day technical operations and ensure the seaworthiness of our vessels.

  • This role requires 10-12 years of experience in the shipping industry, including at least 2 years as a Chief Engineer on large sea-going vessels with international trading experience.
  • Prior experience as a Superintendent is highly desirable.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Oversight of technical operations to ensure vessels meet international regulations and company standards.
  2. Monitoring vessel performance, analyzing defects, and implementing corrective actions to maintain optimal vessel condition.
  3. Preparing annual operating expenses (OPEX) budgets and controlling costs to achieve maximum efficiency.
  4. Maintaining certification and documentation validity by collaborating with classification societies and flag authorities.
  5. Procurement of spares and equipment, prioritizing cost-effectiveness while ensuring quality and reliability.
  6. Planning and supervising dry-docking, repairs, and technical projects, guaranteeing quality control and cost management.
  7. Providing technical guidance and training to onboard crew members, including new equipment operation.
  8. Conducting regular vessel inspections to assess condition, crew, and IMS compliance.
  9. Investigating incidents, proposing corrective actions, and improving procedures to enhance safety and efficiency.
  10. Demonstrating expertise in TMSA and Rightship requirements to ensure regulatory compliance.
  11. Fostering a strong safety culture and promoting environmental protection measures throughout the organization.
