**Role Summary**

This part-time contractual opportunity is ideal for a linguist who can bridge communication gaps between technical and business teams. You will provide language expertise for translation, interpretation, and review of technical/business documents.

About the Role

As a specialist in Mandarin Chinese, you will be responsible for providing language expertise to ensure accurate communication between technical and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Mandarin language expertise for translation, interpretation, and review of technical/business documents.
  • Assist in communication and collaboration between software developers and business stakeholders.
  • Support requirement gathering, documentation, and validation activities in Mandarin and English.
  • Provide insights into local context and nuances to ensure accuracy in deliverables.
  • If technically capable, assist in reviewing technical documents, user flows, or specifications.

Requirements

  • Fluent in Mandarin Chinese (spoken and written) and proficient in English.
  • Prior experience in translation, business analysis, or support roles.
  • Basic knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC), tools, or IT projects is preferred.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills.
  • Available during morning IST hours on weekdays.

Nice to Have

  • Hands-on experience or academic exposure to coding, application development, or technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with tools like MS Office, Jira, Confluence, or any project collaboration platforms.
