As a Senior Visualization Engineer at Huron, you will play a crucial role in helping our clients achieve organizational effectiveness, improve student outcomes, and implement new technologies to ensure long-term sustainability.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Visual Analytics Engineer who can design and implement data visualization solutions that enable our clients to make informed decisions with ease. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of business intelligence solutions, scalable system implementations, and innovative approaches to complex problems.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement data visualization solutions that meet client needs, considering composition, color, texture, and optimizing information density for target users.
  • Utilize interactive drilldowns, movements, and highlights to add layers of insight and engage users to explore data.
  • Create diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive insights using analytics, working with data engineers to create high-dimensional data visualizations.
  • Rapidly iterate, prototype, and implement visualizations that meet client requirements, considering user experience and data storytelling.
  • Expertise in Data Visualization Technologies such as AWS QuickSight, Tableau, or Power BI, involving data discovery, dashboard prototyping, productionization of large-scale visual analytics platforms, performance tuning, and optimization.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, product owners, and other stakeholders to develop and execute necessary processes and controls around data flow to ensure dependability.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with AWS Cloud tools and technologies (such as Athena, Redshift, Snowflake, Azure DW, BigQuery).
  • Solid understanding of Visualization engineer roles and responsibilities and Visual Best Practices.
  • Good experience with AWS QuickSight (preferred) or one or more of the other Data Visualization tools (QuickSight, Power BI, or Tableau).
  • Motivated, self-starter with ability to learn quickly.
  • SQL skills mandatory; Python would be good to have.
  • Familiarity with architectural patterns for data-intensive solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Display sound problem-solving abilities in the face of challenges.
  • Must be a hands-on individual who would also be experienced in leading the Visual team.
  • Preferred to have experience with Agile Methodologies.
  • Possess excellent Critical thinking, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Able to manage your own time and work well both independently and as part of a team.

Education & Experience

  • 6 or more years of experience.
  • BE or BTech, preferably in Computer Science or Information Technology.

Estimated Salary: ₹1,200,000 - ₹2,000,000 per annum.
