Job Opportunity

The Communications Intern role involves collaborating directly with beneficiaries, capturing their stories and experiences through compelling narratives across various formats.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct interviews and conversations with stakeholders to capture authentic stories.
  • Document events and stories in clear, concise, and engaging formats (articles, short write-ups, social media captions, case studies, etc.).
  • Support the creation of internal and external communication material.
  • Assist in maintaining an archive of stories, photographs, and other content assets.
  • Collaborate with the communications team to generate fresh ideas for content.
  • Develop visual content such as social media posts, presentations, or reports using design tools like Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier Pro, Canva, or similar.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Liberal Arts, Media Studies, Public Relations, or related fields.
  • Candidates from Design, Fine Arts, or related disciplines with strong writing skills are also encouraged to apply.
Desired Competencies:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (knowledge of regional languages is a plus).
  • Strong interviewing and documentation abilities.
  • Ability to write across formats: from short social media copy to long-form articles.
  • Good organizational skills to manage multiple stories and deadlines.
  • Familiarity with design tools (Adobe Suite, Canva, Figma, etc.) is a significant advantage.
  • Creativity, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn.
