Director of Communications Strategy

We are seeking an accomplished Director of Communications Strategy who is skilled in creating and executing compelling media narratives. This key role requires someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, knows how to work closely with journalists and government stakeholders, and can deliver impactful editorial wins under tight timelines.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of developing end-to-end communications strategies, securing editorials and thought leadership pieces across top-tier publications, and building relationships with key media contacts.

  • Develop strategic communications plans that drive media coverage and public awareness.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key media contacts, including journalists, editors, and influencers.
  • Secure high-quality media placements through effective pitching and storytelling.
  • Manage press relations for high-profile projects and events.

This role requires a self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills, a deep understanding of the media landscape, and the ability to think creatively and act strategically.

Requirements:

  • 8–12 years of experience in communications, preferably in a senior role.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-impact media coverage and campaigns.
  • Strong network of media contacts and relationships.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience working in sustainability, cleantech, policy, or ESG space.
  • Ability to script and produce complex stories and media materials.
  • Knowledge of media analytics tools.
