Senior Data Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • We design and implement petabyte-scale data architectures to unify data lakes and warehouses using Apache Iceberg, Delta Lake.
  • We develop and optimize streaming pipelines using Kafka, Pulsar and Flink to process structured/unstructured data with low latency.
  • We leverage Java to build scalable, high-throughput data applications and services.
  • We leverage modern data warehouses and query engines such as Trino and Spark for sub-second operation and analytics on real-time data.
  • We work with RDBMS systems such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server and NoSQL systems such as Cassandra, MongoDB to manage diverse data workloads.
  • We ensure data integrity, security and compliance across multi-tenant systems.
  • We manage production infrastructure for reliability, scalability and cost efficiency.
  • We stay ahead of trends in the data ecosystem to drive technical excellence.
  • We build and maintain Web APIs to expose data services internally and externally.

Qualifications:

  • We are looking for a candidate with 8+ years of data engineering experience with large-scale systems.
  • We require expert proficiency in Java for data-intensive applications.
  • Hands-on experience with lakehouse architectures, stream processing and event streaming is essential.
  • Strong SQL skills and familiarity with RDBMS/NoSQL databases are required.
  • A proven track record in optimizing query engines and data pipelines is necessary.
  • Knowledge of data governance, security frameworks and multi-tenant systems is required.
  • Experience with cloud platforms and infrastructure-as-code is desired.
