Job Title: Advanced Database Developer

 

  • Analyze and develop complex SQL code for existing data structures and new applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop advanced database solutions in SQL Server.
  • Gain a deep understanding of business processes and data structures.
  • Learn industry-recognized coding standards, development methodologies, and tools.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and develop business modules using T-SQL or SSIS.
  • Design and implement complex queries to drive research and enforce business rules.
  • Develop efficient sequences of processes to populate data into new database structures.
  • Design required table structures for data loading and ingestion processes.
  • Optimize database performance and troubleshoot new code.
  • Develop PowerShell scripts to automate business jobs.
  • Document technical approaches and procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in design discussions.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience with data warehousing, SQL Server T-SQL development, and OLTP applications (complex queries, stored procedures, scripts, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills to understand requirements and communicate problems and solutions effectively.
  • Experience with ETL processes utilizing SSIS.
  • Desirable experience with SSRS and PowerShell scripting.
  • Familiarity with data modeling concepts.
  • Basic knowledge of the mortgage domain.
  • 7-10 years of experience and any degree.
