Cloud Infrastructure Specialist

Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud computing and experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, Lambda, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing secure, scalable, and high-performance cloud infrastructure solutions. This includes monitoring and administering AWS cloud infrastructure, developing and maintaining high-availability and disaster recovery solutions, overseeing automation scripts and tools for provisioning, configuration, and maintenance of cloud and on-premises resources, analyzing system performance, identifying trends, and implementing improvements to ensure optimal resource utilization and cost efficiency.

In addition, the Cloud Infrastructure Specialist will implement security best practices and compliance standards to protect cloud environments, administer company SaaS platforms, ensuring user productivity with tools like Okta and AWS Workspaces, and provide technical guidance and support to junior support tiers and act as an escalation resource for all technologies under the Platform Engineering umbrella.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in implementing and managing AWS cloud solutions.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience administering Okta.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional certification is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and architectures, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
  • Proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, Lambda, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch.
  • Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
  • Proven hands-on experience supporting the Okta SSO Platform.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts and technologies, including TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, and routing.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in cloud environments.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
