Job Overview

We are re-imagining the natural personal care space at our company by providing customers with a differentiated offering of fresh and natural personal care products. Our products use whole ingredients such as milk, yogurt, fruit and vegetable pulps/juices, flowers, and leaves for everyday use.

Our team has a strong startup experience and is well-funded, backed by top angel investors and institutional investors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create innovative, natural personal care products using minimal processing and no preservatives
  • Develop, formulate, and optimize natural personal care products like skincare, haircare, and body care items to have a more food-like feel and texture
  • Research and implement eco-friendly ingredients and technologies
  • Conduct stability testing, compatibility testing, and performance evaluations to ensure product efficacy and safety
  • Support product claims substantiation and regulatory documentation as needed
  • Oversee pilot plant trials, troubleshoot formulation challenges, and optimize processes for manufacturing efficiency (mid-scale to large-scale production)

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Master's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, pharmaceutical science, cosmetics, or Ayurveda
  • Experience in formulating natural or Ayurvedic products; preferably 100% natural products
  • Understanding of natural preservatives, stabilizers, emulsifiers, surfactants, etc.
  • 2+ years of industry experience
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
