Cyber Security Leader

Manage both local and remote team members to ensure daily security monitoring and investigation tasks are executed efficiently. Lead the response to security incidents, utilizing experience to identify and resolve potential threats.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Review proposed changes to firewalls, router access control lists, IPS, and proxies for security and compliance.
  • Regularly review or audit deployed rulesets to maintain baseline integrity.
  • Perform real-time security monitoring for potential cybersecurity threats.
  • Analyze alerts and coordinate responses with senior analysts.
  • Triage potential security incidents in accordance with established procedures.
  • Continuously improve services by identifying problems and gaps in knowledge and documenting materials.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network protocols (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, Routing, HTTP, DNS, SMTP). Familiarity with network security technologies, including firewalls, network IDS/IPS solutions, and network monitoring solutions is essential.

A minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience with SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, and other security technologies is required. Experience with Unix/Linux/Windows Operating Systems and working knowledge of Shell/Bash/Python are also necessary. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences, are crucial. A CCNA, CCDA, CCNP, or Network+ certification is required.

Familiarity with enterprise network solutions and the ability to work in a hybrid environment are preferred. The ideal candidate will be able to adapt to changing circumstances and prioritize tasks effectively.
