Job Title

We are actively seeking a highly skilled and proactive Database Administrator to join our client's team. This pivotal role is responsible for the comprehensive management, maintenance, and optimization of database systems to ensure high availability, security, and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Database System Management: Build and maintain database systems of high availability and quality, tailored to each end user's specialized role and information needs.
  • Database Design & Implementation: Design and implement databases in strict accordance with end users' information needs and views, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
  • Access & Distribution Management: Define and manage users, and enable efficient data distribution to the right user, in appropriate format and in a timely manner.
  • Performance Optimization: Actively minimize database downtime and expertly manage parameters to provide fast query responses, ensuring optimal system performance.
  • Proactive & Reactive Support: Provide both proactive and reactive data management support and training to users, resolving issues promptly and enhancing user capabilities.
  • Policy & Standards Enforcement: Determine, enforce, and document database policies, procedures, and standards to ensure consistency, compliance, and security.
  • Security & Integrity Assurance: Regularly perform tests and evaluations to ensure data security, privacy, and integrity, safeguarding sensitive information.
  • Monitoring & Maintenance: Continuously monitor database performance, implement changes, and apply new patches and versions when required, keeping systems updated and efficient.
  • Tools & Automation Support: Support and improve tools essential for continuous build, automated testing, and release management within the database environment.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Expertise in building database systems of high availability and quality.
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing databases based on user needs.
  • Strong skills in monitoring database performance, implementing changes, and applying new patches and versions.
  • Experience in determining, enforcing, and documenting database policies, procedures, and standards.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role.
  • Demonstrable expertise in database design, implementation, and performance tuning.
