Establishing a stronghold in the medical supply chain requires expertise and vision. Medanta has successfully cultivated its reputation over 15 years, expanding into multiple locations with hospitals in Gurgaon, Lucknow, Patna, Indore, and Ranchi, as well as clinics in Delhi and Gurgaon.

Key Role:

AGM/DGM – Vendor Managed Inventory / Implant Inventory Management (Supply Chain)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing VMI data to pinpoint areas of improvement and track procurement trends.
  • Leading negotiations with manufacturers and vendors to set new standards for pricing and service.
  • Maintaining group-wide agreements for high-value and critical medical supplies.
  • Overseeing vendor relationships, focusing on performance, delivery, and compliance in VMI operations.
  • Implementing and operating VMI systems across all hospital units efficiently.
  • Ensuring timely receipt of agreed credit notes and Trade Offer Discounts from vendors.
  • Auditing standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to VMI for all units.
  • Tracking and reconciling VMI stock across all units for inventory accuracy and accountability.
  • Developing and implementing a markup policy for vendor-managed items in line with pricing strategy.
  • Maintaining a discount tracker to ensure visibility, transparency, and realization of negotiated benefits.

Requirements:

  • Postgraduate degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Healthcare Management, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 10-15 years of experience in supply chain or inventory management, preferably in healthcare/hospital.
  • Proven experience in vendor negotiations, compliance, and SOP implementation.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare procurement dynamics, regulatory requirements, and VMI models.
