Job Title

The Project Cost Controller role involves overseeing project financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting to ensure accurate and timely information for decision-making. This position plays a crucial part in driving commercial awareness and promoting best practices within the project team.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project budgets, including annual, quarterly, and monthly forecasts.
  • Coordinate with the Client to ensure seamless invoicing processes and timely payments.
  • Monitor and control site expenses, providing weekly reports and reconciliations as required.
  • Analyze project costs and revenues, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Lead the activity of project actualisation (actua) at HO defined frequency, coordinating with the project team to gather required data and discussing finance-related slides with the controller manager.
  • Review Kappa against budgeted costs, highlighting deviations and ensuring adequate documentation is attached.
  • Prepare project slides for monthly business review, maintaining close communication with the controller manager.
  • Perform comprehensive checks on provisions to ensure accuracy and completeness for monthly closing.
  • Conduct monthly cash verification and surprise verification at least once a month, reporting results to HO team.
  • Oversee Internal Financial Controls (IFC) compliance as defined by HO in the Risk and Control Matrix (RCM).
  • Monitor and renew ABG, PBG, and other guarantees and insurances as per contractual conditions.
  • Ensure tax compliance and provide all necessary support to the execution team.
  • Maintain up-to-date timesheets for staff working on projects and supervise day-to-day site accountant tasks.
  • Support central controlling teams with various analyses and ad-hoc requests.
