Equipment Designer Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Equipment Designer to join our team. This role involves working with process engineers to develop prototype and mass production equipment for manufacturing.

The ideal candidate will focus on developing automated systems to support display module integration and other sophisticated product design challenges.

  1. Innovative Design: Developing automated equipment architectures to support scalable processes, driving new product designs while maintaining high-quality standards.
  2. Collaboration with Suppliers: Working with both internal teams and external equipment manufacturers to build fully automated equipment from the concept stage through to mass production.
  3. Process Design and Testing: Performing design for manufacturability reviews, failure analysis, and identifying improvement paths for new equipment technologies.
  4. Cross-functional Interaction: Working with teams in Product Design, Display Engineering, Display Operations, and international vendors to ensure a seamless design-to-production transition.
  5. Advanced Automation Expertise: Extensive hands-on experience with industrial robots, PLC programming, and advanced automation systems.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in automation and robotics for mass production applications.
  • Expertise in robot selection and programming (ABB, KUKA, Fanuc), robot simulations, and PLC programming (Mitsubishi, Siemens).
  • Strong background in CAD design for mechanical components and assemblies, using GD&T practices.
  • Proficient in digital twin technology, safety integration, HMI programming, and part loading/unloading systems.
