Job Description

The role of Assistant Manager involves providing critical support to the team in various aspects of tax management, focusing on timely responses and effective collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support assessment proceedings with tax authorities, ensuring prompt communication and submission of rectification applications.
  • Establish strong relationships with tax authorities for ongoing matters, guaranteeing effective engagement and coordination.
  • Conduct thorough research on direct tax and transfer pricing issues, prepare technical submissions, and present findings effectively to stakeholders.
  • Prepare comprehensive replies to be filed before tax authorities, addressing penalty proceedings, stay of demand, demand adjustment, appeal effect applications, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure accurate preparation and filing of corporate tax returns, meeting all relevant standards and deadlines.
  • Independently handle TDS returns, guaranteeing accuracy and timeliness while minimizing risk.
  • Prepare and submit advance tax computations based on estimates, taking into account changing market conditions and potential implications.
  • Assist in advising on international tax matters, including interpreting provisions of Double Taxation Avoidance Agreements (DTAA), and provide informed guidance to key stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Possess a Qualification as a Chartered Accountant (with relevant experience).
  • Hold 1–4 years of relevant tax experience (Big 4 preferred) and/or MNC exposure.
  • Have exposure to corporate tax and international taxation, staying up-to-date with emerging trends and regulatory changes.
