Senior Taxation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Senior Taxation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our production support services, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive tax management solutions for multiple jurisdictions.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Apply advanced knowledge of indirect taxation, including Sales & Use Tax, VAT, GST, and Withholding Tax across various jurisdictions
  • Maintain and troubleshoot tax calculation rules, tax jurisdictions, and product taxability assignments within Vertex
  • Support seamless ERP integrations with Vertex, ensuring accurate tax rates, exemptions, and tax determinations
  • Manage tax configuration, tax categories, and exemption certificates within Vertex, and provide support for tax reporting and compliance
  • Handle tax accruals and reconciliations to ensure general ledger accuracy, and receive, analyze, and prioritize related support tickets
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of indirect taxation (Sales & Use Tax, VAT, GST, Withholding Tax)
  • 5+ years experience with Vertex tax systems and ERP integrations
  • Knowledge of tax calculation rules, jurisdictions, and product taxability assignments
  • Proficiency in SQL and data analysis, and experience troubleshooting API integrations and data feeds
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with FBDI & ADFdi for data imports and updates
  • Understanding of tax compliance reporting requirements, and familiarity with SOX audit requirements for tax processes
  • Strong problem-solving skills for complex tax calculation issues, and ability to document and communicate technical solutions effectively
