We are seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Fund Raising Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive fund raising strategy, engaging deeply with major donors, and collaborating with other teams to ensure effective execution of the strategy.

The ideal candidate will have 8-14 years of experience in building and growing relationships for growth and development, excellent communication and relationship building skills, and association with philanthropy and fund raising. Experience of managing small teams is also preferred.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conceptualizing, shaping, and implementing a comprehensive and purpose-driven fund-raising strategy by building deep and long-term engagements with Major Donors.
  • Conducting prospect research and actively identifying, cultivating, and soliciting new partnerships, and personally engaging with donors to fully understand where their interests, concerns, and talents align with opportunities at IIT Bombay.
  • Preparing donor narratives and fund utilization reports for relevant stakeholders.
  • Promoting IIT Bombay leadership in the fields of science and technology, ongoing research work, and eliciting partnership from donors.
  • Engaging with internal key stakeholders to fully understand the strategic priorities and research focus and co-creating new long-term avenues for donations.
  • Analyzing and mining trends, data, and information to create avenues and navigate fund-raise opportunities.
