Job Title:

Senior Asset Manager

Role Overview:

The Senior Asset Manager will oversee the management of enterprise-wide assets, ensuring compliance with software license agreements and maintaining accurate records of deployed and licensed software.

This role requires a deep understanding of software asset management, including knowledge of IBM Software, VMware Software, Oracle Software, Red Hat/SUSE Linux S/Ws, and ILMT sub-capacity reporting.

The ideal candidate will have experience in end-to-end asset management, with a strong focus on optimization strategies and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities:
  • Asset Management: Prepare and upload reports, generate non-compliance reconciliation reports, and manage enterprise-wide compliance with software license agreements.
  • Software Audits: Conduct internal software audits to identify variances between deployed and licensed software, ensure deployed software aligns with purchased quantities and licensing models, and rectify variances.
  • Licensing and Compliance: Read and understand software licenses, take corrective action if necessary, and ensure company compliance with software usage policies and guidelines.
  • Purchase and Renewal: Oversee the purchase of all software licenses, ensure appropriate quantities and licensing models are purchased, determine contract requirements, place orders, and validate proper payment for software license renewals.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Minimum 6+ years of experience in asset management, with expertise in overseeing end-to-end asset management across the organization.
  • Skills: Deep understanding of software asset management, especially for managing IBM Software, VMware Software, Oracle Software, Red Hat/SUSE Linux S/Ws, and ILMT sub-capacity reporting.
