We are seeking a skilled Pastries Specialist to join our team. As a key member of the culinary staff, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality pastries and desserts in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake a variety of pastry and dessert items according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Operate commercial cooking equipment, including ovens, mixers, and fryers.
- Set up and maintain an attractive display of pastries and desserts in the buffet area.
- Assist with food storage and inventory management.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- A minimum of two years' experience as a pastry cook or baker in a hotel, resort, or cruise ship setting.
- Demonstrated expertise in pastry preparation and presentation.
- Strong knowledge of sanitation and safety procedures.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects.
