Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads a team in designing and implementing cloud-based platforms using GCP, Kubernetes, and Grafana.
  • Collaborates with System Engineers, Developers, Architects, and DevOps engineers to create automated solutions with CI/CD Pipelines for infrastructure and software build, deployment, and configuration.
  • Designs, deploys, and supports Cloud Networking, including cross-cloud and site-to-cloud connections. Ensures Digital Platform service level expectations are clearly defined and measurable through Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Indicators (SLIs).
  • Ensures that Instances Deployed to Cloud Platforms meet patching, monitoring, and DR/Backup Standards. Utilizes scripting languages, such as Python and Terraform, to develop automated solutions and integrations on an ad-hoc basis.
  • Maintains code and scripting Git version control repositories and related systems supporting initiatives around infrastructure as code. Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves problems with the build, deployment, and continuous integration process.
  • Ensures security is integrated into all architecture solutions to meet compliance standards. Designs, builds, and tests cloud architecture to ensure large amounts of data can be transferred and stored efficiently.
  • Creates standard operating procedures and policy documentation while adhering to industry standards and best practices.

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent; Master's degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in the IT industry, with good experience in cloud engineering.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages: Python, Perl, Ruby, Bash, or Java.
  • Experience using GCP resource technologies to develop and deploy enterprise solutions.
  • Experience managing scaled cloud systems, focusing on operational excellence.
  • Working knowledge of agile development methods.
  • Deep understanding of cloud computing technologies, applications, and trends.
