Job Overview

This role requires a high level of proficiency in financial analysis, data reconciliation, and reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of treasury management, including daily banking and cash flow processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bank Reconciliation
    • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of multiple bank accounts to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
    • Investigate discrepancies between bank statements and the general ledger, resolving issues promptly and efficiently.
    • Maintain accurate records of all bank transactions.
  • Treasury Operations
    • Manage daily fund flows and maintain optimal fund balances to ensure liquidity and minimize risk.
    • Monitor and process fund transfers, bank deposits, and payments in a timely manner.
    • Negotiate with banks and financial institutions to secure favorable terms and rates.
  • Payment Gateway Reconciliation
    • Reconcile transactions from various payment gateways (e.g., PayPal, Stripe) with internal financial systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
    • Identify and resolve discrepancies related to payment processing and settlement.
    • Track chargebacks, refunds, and fees associated with payment gateways.
  • Accounting Support
    • Assist in month-end closing processes by preparing relevant journal entries and ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.
    • Support the accounts payable and receivable functions as needed, providing timely and accurate information to stakeholders.
    • Maintain adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements throughout all treasury and reconciliation activities.
  • Advanced Excel and Data Analysis
    • Utilize advanced Excel techniques (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) for data analysis, reconciliation, and reporting.
    • Create and maintain financial models, cash flow forecasts, and ad-hoc reports to support business decisions.
    • Ensure data integrity and accuracy across financial records.
  • Process Improvement
    • Identify opportunities to streamline and improve treasury and reconciliation processes, implementing automation tools or improved methodologies as needed.
    • Develop and maintain internal controls to ensure the security and accuracy of financial data.
    • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Compliance and Reporting
    • Prepare regular treasury and reconciliation reports for senior management, providing insights into financial performance and trends.
    • Assist in audit preparations by providing accurate reconciliations and supporting documentation.
    • Maintain awareness of changing regulatory requirements and ensure adherence to relevant laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Experience: 0-3 years of experience in treasury, accounting, or reconciliation roles, preferably in a banking or financial services environment.
  • Skills:
    • Proficient in MS Office, Google Tools, and Tally accounting software.
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with expertise in VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and Macros.
    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
    • High level of accuracy and ability to handle large volumes of financial data.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
