Job Summary:

A skilled Data Engineer is needed to design, build and maintain large-scale data processing systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and operate Apache Ray-based data processing systems ensuring high availability and scalability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement efficient data pipelines automating deployment and orchestration processes.
  • Work on multiple cloud environments including AWS and GCP to ensure seamless data integration and analytics.
  • Participate in capacity planning scale testing and disaster recovery exercises to ensure business continuity.
  • Troubleshoot customer concerns for ML Tuning and inference endpoints on Ray providing timely solutions.
  • Design and implement RESTful/RPC APIs and services using Golang or Python ensuring high performance and reliability.
  • Implement SLO/SLI and error budget reporting for various customers driving data-driven decision-making.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering with expertise in Apache Ray.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms including AWS and GCP.
  • Experience with containerization e.g. Docker orchestration e.g. Kubernetes and automation tools.
  • Strong programming skills in languages like Golang Python or Java.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with experience working with cross-functional teams.
