Job Title: Digital Communications Specialist

Profile:

  • Responsible for developing, managing and executing an end-to-end social media strategy across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter etc.) that engages with the audience through creative and trend-driven content.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Brainstorm, create and implement social media strategies including graphics, reels, carousels, stories and written posts to connect with the target audience.
  2. Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy across all platforms.
  3. Utilize design tools like Canva, Buffer or Hootsuite to manage social media calendars and schedule content in advance.
  4. Curate high-quality visual content using cameras or mobile devices.
  5. Engage with followers through comments DMs and interactive stories to foster a strong online community.
  6. Track and analyze key metrics to provide performance reports with actionable insights and recommendations for improvement.
  7. Collaborate closely with marketing teams to ensure brand consistency and messaging alignment.
  8. Stay up-to-date on emerging trends and suggest innovative ideas for new formats and content.
  9. Document behind-the-scenes moments and day-to-day life using photography and videography techniques.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a similar role (internships/freelance included) with a focus on social media strategy and content creation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing Communications Media or a related field.
  • Passion for digital storytelling and content creation.
  • Deep understanding of social media platforms and best practices.
  • Strong creative thinking and content writing skills with a focus on engaging audiences.
  • Proficiency in design tools like Canva.
  • Awareness of emerging trends meme culture and viral formats.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team take initiative and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Nice To Have:

  • Knowledge of graphic design tools e.g. Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Familiarity with basic analytics tools like Meta Business Suite Instagram Insights or Analytics.
  • Understanding of influencer marketing user-generated content or paid social campaigns.
  • Hands-on experience with DSLR or mobile camera equipment for video/photo content.
