Job Title: Data Governance Specialist

Key responsibilities include establishing trusted data foundations, defining data quality metrics, and collaborating with teams to align data delivery with business and reporting requirements.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, including proficiency in metadata management, business glossary, and data catalog entries.

  • Technical Responsibilities:
  • Create and maintain metadata, business glossary, and data catalog entries in DG Tools.
  • Work with data owners to enforce data definitions, classifications, and data quality rules.
  • Perform data profiling, issue identification, and remediation coordination.
  • Support the onboarding of new data assets (cataloging, lineage, and stewardship assignments).
  • Assist in governance tool configuration, workflow management, and integration automation.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to support PII tagging, data masking, and access governance.
  • Provide training and support to business users in using governance tools effectively.
  • Deploy the master data governance framework and utilize supporting data management tools.
  • Evaluate and ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
  • Implement and monitor data quality rules, validation checks, and exception handling.
