Job Summary:

Equipment Operations Specialist

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of machinery used in nutraceutical manufacturing. This includes operating and monitoring equipment, setting up and calibrating machines, and conducting routine checks to prevent downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor machinery according to established standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Set up, calibrate, and adjust machines for accurate production runs
  • Conduct routine equipment checks to ensure smooth operations and minimal downtime
  • Maintain product quality standards during machine operations by adhering to good manufacturing practices (GMPs) and regulatory guidelines
  • Record machine operating data, production outputs, and downtime logs accurately and efficiently
  • Ensure material feeding, changeovers, and line clearance are carried out as required to maintain a safe and efficient working environment
  • Report and escalate equipment malfunctions or abnormalities promptly to minimize disruptions
  • Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities with the engineering team to optimize equipment performance and extend its lifespan
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant working area that meets industry standards
  • Assist during audits, inspections, and documentation verification to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

Requirements:

  • 2–4 years of experience in machinery rectification/maintenance within Nutraceuticals, Food Manufacturing, or Pharmaceuticals
  • Hands-on experience with blending, granulation, encapsulation, filling, or packaging machines is required
  • Exposure to food technology processes such as mixing, drying, and milling is essential

Essential Skills:

  • Strong understanding of machine operation, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques
  • Knowledge of food safety, quality control, and hygienic practices to ensure product integrity and consumer safety
  • Familiarity with GMP, GHP, HACCP, and regulatory guidelines (FSSAI/ISO) to maintain compliance
  • Ability to conduct and document in-process checks accurately and efficiently
  • Attention to detail, ownership, and adherence to SOPs to ensure consistency and quality
  • Ability to work collaboratively with supervisors, QA, and maintenance teams to achieve common goals
