Wireless Network Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Wireless Network Specialist to design, develop and test Wi-Fi software features for gateway and extender products. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure robust implementation of wireless protocols and support troubleshooting efforts.

This role requires a strong understanding of IEEE802.11 / Wi-Fi protocol versions (4, 5, 6, and 7), experience with Wi-Fi Management Systems (EasyMesh, AirTies, OpenSync, etc.) and strong knowledge of Linux Operating Systems and PrplOS platform. Hands-on experience in C/C++ programming and shell scripting is also required.

The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of TCP/IP internals and common network protocols such as DHCP, DNS, HTTP. Exposure to Wi-Fi certification processes and knowledge of source version control tools like Git, GitHub are also essential.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop and test Wi-Fi software features for Wi-Fi gateway/extender products.
  • Work on development of new Wi-Fi features on PrplOS platform.
  • Provide technical assistance to other teams to troubleshoot customer Wi-Fi issues.
  • Contribute to Wi-Fi certification processes and ensure compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges.
Requirements:
