Lead QA Automation Specialist Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the delivery of roadmap features on our Enterprise TruRisk Platform.

The ideal candidate will oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of testing frameworks for core product capabilities using micro-services and Big Data based components.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop automation strategy to achieve maximum test coverage.
  • Create automated testing frameworks for big data workflows such as ingestion, aggregation, ETL processing etc.
  • Troubleshoot issues within the big data ecosystem.
  • Configure the Big data platform and Hadoop ecosystem for testing.
  • Establish test plan for data platform enhancements and new features/services built on it.
  • Conduct system & performance testing of the data platform and applications.
  • Analyse complex engineering projects and provide technical consultation in the design, development, and test effort.
  • Review product specifications and write test cases.
  • Identify technical interdependencies and suggest possible solutions.
  • Test big data ingestion and aggregation flows using spark shell and related queries.
  • Automate end-to-end workflow using a framework.
  • Contribute in Test Automation Development/Enhancement.
Requirements:
  • 8-10 years of experience in full-time testing role and at least 4-6 years in hands-on automation role as lead.
  • Familiarity with Java and Selenium.
  • Experience designing automation frameworks.
  • Hands on experience automating backend applications (e.g., database, REST API's).
  • Ability to integrate CI-CD pipelines for automation frameworks for ease of use.
  • Knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
  • Strong debugging skills.
  • Working experience working in Linux/Unix environment.
  • Good understanding of testing methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Big Data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, Kafa, Elastic.
