Software Transformation Specialist

Thomson Reuters is currently implementing a large digital transformation program to fundamentally transform customer acquisition and Customer to Cash processes. Digital services play pivotal roles in enabling customers to onboard for self-service portals or purchasing products through unified digital platforms.

We are looking for exceptional software development experts who are interested in modernizing legacy applications on the latest technologies to deliver industry-leading systems. You will be working under Strategy and Architecture unit to support various business functions using cutting-edge technologies on Front-end stack, React JS, Cloud-native technologies, AI technologies, SaaS products like Commerce tools, Salesforce, Adobe Experience Manager, Boomi, S/4 HANA etc.

About the Role:

• Develop and maintain target architecture by working with senior architects
• Design and develop applications. Run Proof of Concepts (POCs) for new architectures using React, AWS or containers. Certain POCs may involve backend integrations using databases, Boomi, ERP systems like SAP, S/4 HANA, Salesforce or Adobe Experience Cloud or even AI-based solutions
• Be a self-learner and adaptable to new/existing technologies as needed
• Provide creative ideas/solutions to complex problems
• Work with solution architects to define including component structures and data flow
• Establish and enforce standards and best practices for Frontend development
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and backend system integration developers
• Collaborate with security teams to implement security best practices
• Proactively identify and resolve application and performance issues while continuously monitoring and maintaining performance SLAs
• Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in React and front-end development

About you:

You are a fit for the role if your background includes:

• Minimum of 3+ years in development with Enterprise Web Portals or backend applications using ERP or Boomi API or SAP or different AI technologies
• 2+ years of experience with full-stack technologies such as React JS/single-page applications (SPAs) or experience in any backend domain technologies like SAP/ABAP/HANA or No SQL Databases or Salesforce or Boomi or Adobe Experience Manager or Chat application using AI technologies like GPT4, Claude etc.
• Experience with AWS cloud services, including AWS Lambda, AWS ECS/App Runner, API Gateway, and AWS S3 would be helpful
• Knowledge on SQL databases
• Experience with Identity and Access Management integrations, such as JWT/OAuth
• Creating and maintaining technical design documentation
• Strong Business-driven mindset and interaction with Business Analyst for requirements elicitation
• Strong quantitative, analytical, communication, and verbal skills with a strong customer service focus
• Strong Architectural Thinking, Design Thinking, Architectural patterns understanding
• Experience working with agile teams and methodologies, especially in globally distributed environments
• Experience on full project lifecycle, with a development background
• Experience working with diverse teams across multiple countries
• Self-motivated and proactive mindset
• Business/Technical Consulting Experience as an Associate
• Prior experience in modernizing legacy applications
• Familiarity about web portals, shopping websites, eStores, Products and Pricing, Order management, Payments etc
• Familiarity on SaaS products like SAP, S/4 HANA, Commerce tools, Salesforce, Boomi, Adobe Cloud etc
• Knowledge and experience in DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Broad understanding of Cloud-native software design and implementation using Containers and Microservices architecture
• Preferred: Certification in AWS/GCP/Azure or other Architecture certifications like TOGAF
