We are seeking an experienced developer to join our high-performing team. As a Senior Ruby on Rails expert, you will be at the forefront of solving mission-critical application stability and scalability challenges in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze complex systems and design solutions to ensure resilience at scale.
  • Implement mitigation strategies, improve fault tolerance, and lead efforts on monitoring gaps.
  • Build, optimize, and maintain microservices and APIs, with exposure to Sinatra.
  • Strengthen monitoring and alerting using Datadog and similar observability tools.
  • Implement auto-restart scripts, failover mechanisms, and performance tuning for critical services.
  • Partner with Product, DevOps, and cross-functional teams, while mentoring junior engineers.
  • Balance production issue resolution with new feature development to ensure long-term stability.

Requirements:

  • 10 to 15 years of professional experience in Ruby on Rails development.
  • Strong command over RoR, Sinatra, microservices, and distributed systems.
  • Hands-on with Kafka, ZooKeeper, Thrift, and SOLR for messaging & search.
  • Cloud experience: AWS (SQS, hosting, infrastructure).
  • Proficiency in Datadog monitoring, Cloudflare bot mitigation, containerized environments.
  • Solid debugging, performance tuning, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience in Agile environments and excellent communication skills.
