Job Title: Integrations Engineer

This is a full-time, remote position for a skilled Software Integration Engineer.

The successful candidate will be responsible for integrating software systems, developing software solutions, troubleshooting issues, implementing continuous integration processes, and working with embedded software.

Responsibilities include:

  • Designing, building, and maintaining integrations with various Property Management Systems (PMS) and third-party platforms.
  • Developing and optimizing our integration pipeline, ensuring reliability and efficiency.
  • Understanding the nuances of downstream systems and architecting scalable integration solutions.
  • Engaging with PMS partners to identify and implement new features and updates.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving integration-related issues, ensuring system stability and performance.
  • Continuously improving our backend infrastructure, automating tasks, and setting best practices for integrations.
  • Monitoring and tracking the daily status of integrations, proactively identifying inefficiencies and areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in backend web development.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript and experience working with NestJS or similar backend frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Object-Oriented Programming and its various paradigms.
  • Strong understanding of automated testing at every level (unit, integration, and end-to-end).
  • Strong understanding of API development, including RESTful APIs and SOAP XML.
  • Experience working with message queues and understanding of pub-sub architectures in distributed systems.
  • Familiarity with databases and ORM frameworks for efficient data management.
  • Proficiency with Git and development tools such as Visual Studio Code (or any preferred IDE).
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to test and validate code before deployment.
  • Experience with integrating third-party systems and optimizing data flow between platforms.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in frontend development using React or other similar frameworks.
  • Experience working in the hospitality tech industry or with PMS integrations.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based architectures and infrastructure automation.
