We're seeking an experienced Senior Backend Software Engineer with a passion for Quality Assurance to join our team. As a key member of our payments solutions team, you'll collaborate closely with product owners, area architects, and team members to clarify business needs and technical requirements.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Working in a challenging Agile environment with other teams
  • Participating in technical discussions and decisions
  • Developing and delivering applications for a successful e-commerce platform
  • Contributing to the complete software development life cycle from discovery through coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance

You'll have the opportunity to learn and grow your skills daily, working with state-of-the-art technologies and practices like AWS, Microservices, Docker, and more.

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

Key Qualifications
  • 6+ years of experience with Java 11+ and Spring framework
  • 2+ years of practical application of TDD/BDD
  • 3+ years of experience working within Agile practices and knowledge of Agile values & principles
  • Familiarity with automated testing and different levels of tests (unit tests, integration tests, end-to-end tests)
  • Able to understand architectural landscapes and investigate/ implement new features independently
  • Experience with DevOps tools and practices (container orchestration, CI, monitoring and alerting, AWS & Kubernetes)
  • Experience working with Microservices
  • Experience with relational/non-relational databases
Bonus Qualifications
  • Recent experience with end-to-end payment processes and systems, especially integrating with PayPal via providers like Adyen
  • Understanding frontend technologies like React, NPM, Javascript, and Angular
