Estimation Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Estimation Specialist to play a key role in our Sales team.

  • Assess project specifications, technical requirements, and scope of work to understand client needs and objectives.
  • Conduct thorough technical analysis and feasibility studies to determine suitable solutions for integrating control systems with HVAC systems, DDC systems, and PLCs.
  • Evaluate engineering design integrity by validating proposed technical solutions align with design shared during RFQ stage.
  • Develop detailed cost estimates for HVAC, DDC, and PLC systems using industry knowledge, past project data, and estimation software tools.
  • Collaborate with Design, Procurement, and Production teams to ensure estimation inputs align with final execution strategy and project timelines.
  • Provide support to Project and Operations teams in reviewing cost and design assumptions post-award.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Instrumentation Engineering.
  • 3-5 years of experience in automation or HVAC-related estimation.
  • Cost estimation, document formatting, proposal drafting, RFQ analysis, process improvement skills.
