Project Lead Role

Job Description

This role involves collaborating with a team to deliver projects, working under the supervision of a senior or project engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Preparing feasibility study reports to meet brief requirements and reviewing them with relevant stakeholders.
  • Working with the design team to create a design specification that meets the employer's requirements and monitoring its preparation to ensure timely delivery.
  • Agreeing and monitoring the scope of works with relevant stakeholders.
  • Defining building requirements and purposes of use with relevant stakeholders to facilitate detailed design.
  • Carrying out detailed design to required standards, including complex calculations and co-ordination issues.
  • Reviewing and monitoring the production of calculations.
  • Ensuring that information for project costing is completed in requisite detail and to deadlines.
  • Providing documentary information to assist in tender document preparation.
  • Coordinating project contracts documents and reviews input from team members.
  • Dealing with day-to-day queries from the design team and ensuring relevant information is available on time for construction activity.
  • Reporting any variance between constructed works and design intent to relevant stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate should possess:

  • Proven experience in design of building structures, preferably in a similar role or with a good track record.
  • Good presentation skills.
  • Fluency in English with an excellent understanding of technical terminology.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Project.
