Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Configuration Management Specialist to join our team at Tonbo Imaging. This role will be responsible for ensuring the efficient management and control of our software and hardware configurations throughout their lifecycle with smooth and efficient software delivery through automation, collaboration, and continuous improvement practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Document CM Plans: Develop and document configuration management plans, configuration items (CIs) – including Hardware & Software, policies, and procedures.
  • Naming Conventions and Standards: Establish naming conventions and standards for version control (like GIT to manage source code).
  • Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with project managers, developers, QA teams, and IT operations to ensure alignment of configurations with project requirements.
  • Tool Selection and Implementation: Select, implement, and maintain configuration management tools and systems.
  • Integration with Other Systems: Ensure that tools integrate effectively with other systems like version control, build systems, and deployment pipelines.
  • CI/CD Pipeline Design: Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate code integration, testing, and deployment.
  • Automation of Repetitive Tasks: Automate repetitive tasks, such as build processes, deployments, and infrastructure provisioning.
  • Workflow Automation Tools: Use tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions for workflow automation.
  • Script Development: Develop and manage scripts for configuration, testing, and monitoring.
  • Scalable Infrastructure: Implement scalable and fault-tolerant infrastructure.
  • Containerization: Use containerization tools like Docker for packaging applications and Kubernetes for orchestration.
  • Vulnerability Assessments: Conduct vulnerability assessments and patch management.
  • Performance Optimization: Identify and address performance bottlenecks in systems and applications.
  • Resource Optimization: Optimize resource usage in production environments to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
  • System Uptime and Reliability: Maintain system uptime and reliability through proactive measures.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Share knowledge with team members through training sessions and mentoring.
  • Best Practices Implementation: Implement best practices for software delivery and operations.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree (B.E./ BTech) in Engineering, Computer Science or a similar field with 5+ yrs of experience in Configuration Management & DevOps.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage complex systems and workflows.
  • Programming & Scripting: Proficiency in languages like Python, Bash, or Go.
  • Version Control Systems: Expertise with Git.
  • Automation Tools: Experience with Jenkins.
  • Containerization: Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork abilities.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year.
