Fixed Income Index Manager Role Overview

About the Position

The role will be part of the index management and production group, responsible for maintaining and enhancing the quality of fixed income indices.

  • This includes researching corporate actions, new issuances, and implementing index changes.
Key Responsibilities

Data and content management:

  • Corporate action analysis
  • Periodic index review
  • Participation in the monthly rebalancing process
  • Validation of all data content required for index rebalancing

Review and interpret corporate action events:

  • Refinancing, restructuring, bankruptcy workout, sustainability data
  • Call, put, sinking fund, and so on

Able to communicate index methodologies to stakeholders:

  • In a clear and understandable way
Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, mathematics, IT, economics, finance, or a related field
  • 3+ years of professional experience in fixed income or a similar financial field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Fundamental understanding of the fixed income market
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Ability to learn and adapt to proprietary index calculation platforms
  • Good written and verbal communication skills

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Progress toward CFA or CIPM certification
  • Experience with SQL, Python, and VBA for process automation and data analysis
