Job Title: Hardware Design Engineer

 

  • We are seeking a skilled Hardware Design Engineer to drive the architecture and component selection for next-generation automotive audio systems.
  • Select and recommend semiconductor solutions for automotive audio, design circuits and PCBs, and develop electronic components and systems that power car audio systems.
  • Collaborate with vehicle architecture, safety engineers, and buyers to ensure chosen components meet performance, reliability, and cost requirements.
  • Provide technical expertise in recommending electronic audio components, including amplifiers, microphone interfaces, DSPs, power circuitry, speaker interfaces, and digital audio interfaces.
  • Familiarity with automotive safety and quality standards, such as ISO 26262 and AEC-Q100.
  • Work with acoustic measurement instruments, audio data acquisition systems, and Audio Precision.
  • Collaborate with silicon vendors to drive design features and technology roadmaps.
  • Support HW Engineering during advanced design phases, system architecture definitions, and ECU development/qualifications.
  • Ability to collaborate with global teams across different regions and time zones.

Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics, Telecommunication, or equivalent engineering.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in automotive embedded electronics designs or hardware/system architectural roles.
  • Knowledge of in-vehicle infotainment systems, audio systems, automotive vehicle connectivity systems, and ECU design, development, and testing.
  • Experience in automotive ECU design, audio standards, and automotive testing and certification.
  • Strong teamwork spirit, excellent oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Experience in the automotive industry (OEM, TIER1, TIER2).
  • Understanding of board software, bring-up software, audio DSP, and MCUs.
  • Knowledge of safety standards, including ISO 26262, Euro NAP, and security regulations.
